CHOCOLATE CHIP POUND CAKE

My dear friend Brandi Holbrook shared this wonderful recipe with me several weeks ago.  An excellent recipe!  Pour yourself a cup of coffee or a glass of milk and, enjoy a slice.

CHOCOLATE CHIP POUND CAKE

1 box butter cake mix
1 large package vanilla instant pudding
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup water
8 ounces sour cream
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips, divided
1 cup brown sugar

Combine the cake mix, pudding, eggs, oil, water and sour cream.   Pour 1/3 of the batter into a greased and floured bundt pan.  Sprinkle 3/4 cup of the chocolate chips on top.  Sprinkle 1/2 cup of the light brown sugar on top.  Add the remaining batter and sprinkle with the remaining chocolate chips and brown sugar.  Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.  Cover with aluminum foil and bake an additional 20 minutes.  Cool for 15-20 minutes before removing from the pan.  Place on a cake plate with the chocolate chip and brown sugar side up.
